NSCA Weather CLOSURE
February 12
New Summit Charter Academy will be closed on Wednesday, February 12 due to extreme cold temperatures in alignment with our weather closure guidelines.
Please note the following:
- No school for students.
- No staff will report to work.
- No eLearning will take place for elementary students.
- Middle school teachers will reach out to students regarding eLearning expectations.
- Preschool will also be closed.
- Prodigy Childcare is closed.
This decision was made with the safety of our students and staff as our top priority. After consulting local meteorologists and reviewing forecasts, we determined that temperatures, factoring in wind chill, could reach as low as –17°F in some areas, with dangerous conditions persisting until mid-morning. Given the risk of frostbite in such extreme cold, we believe this closure is in the best interest of everyone’s well-being.
