About Me
Nicole was born in Minnesota but lived in Ohio, Massachusetts, and New Mexico. She has lived in Colorado Springs since 2010. Nicole wanted to be in education since she was in third grade and was forcing her stuffed animals to “play school”. She received her BA in Elementary Education from New Mexico State University and her MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. Nicole has been in education for over nine years. She has worked with children from kindergarten through middle school in various roles, from classroom teacher to reading interventionist to curriculum developer.
In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and two silly and creative daughters, playing mediocre hockey, hiking when it’s not too hot or cold (which is hard in Colorado), and baking anything that sounds delicious.
