Jamie was born and raised in Colorado. She loved growing up in Woodland Park and, as a mountain girl, learned to love nature and animals from a young age. Her eleven-year-old son and two dogs keep her very busy, but they all still try to go hiking and camping as much as possible.

Jamie received her B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master’s in Reading from Regis University. She believes developing a passion for reading opens endless doors to success and is the key to education. With seventeen years of teaching experience, Jamie is excited to be the instructional coach for New Summit. As an instructional coach, Jamie partners with the teachers to focus on student learning. She looks forward to the new summits explored at New Summit Charter Academy this school year.
