I grew up in Carroll, Iowa, with three brothers who all played multiple sports. The main sport in our house was baseball, and it wasn’t even close. All 3 of my brothers and my dad played baseball in college and coached after finishing our playing careers.
I went to Concordia University, NE, to play baseball and get my Bachelor of Science in K-12 Physical Education. After graduation, I moved to Omaha, NE, and taught PE at a Pre-K-8th grade Catholic school for three years. In 2020, my girlfriend and I decided to move to Colorado Springs for a change of scenery. When we moved, I got a job at James Irwin Charter Elementary teaching K-5 PE and became the head baseball coach at the high school and the assistant coach of the softball team. I taught there for two years before getting the job here at New Summit. I am currently the head baseball coach at Rampart High School. This will be my second year in that role.
In my free time, you will find me hiking in the mountains, watching baseball, coaching baseball, or spending time with my two dogs.
I am excited to join the
New Summit family as a physical education teacher!
