This will be Abby's 6th year at New Summit. She is originally from Lubbock, Texas, but has lived in Colorado Springs for over a decade. She has two daughters, and her family has three dogs who keep them very entertained!

Abby graduated from Texas Tech University (Go Red Raiders!!) with a degree in Multidisciplinary Studies and taught 5th grade for a few years before moving to Colorado Springs for her husband’s job. When she first got here, she worked at the Ruth Holley Library until she had her first daughter. Because of that, books and libraries have a special place in her heart!

She is an enthusiastic sports fan, and you can always find her cheering on the Texas Tech Red Raiders in any sport and managing her fantasy football teams! She loves the Kansas City Chiefs, Liverpool Premier League soccer team, and the United States men's and women's soccer teams. Each year, Abby looks forward to helping students grow in reading and writing and creating a safe and enjoyable learning environment for them to succeed.
