I had heard of New Summit from my neighbor, but hadn’t looked into it myself until months later. Once I attended an Open House I was sold! A classical approach to education, focus on literacy, and placing students with their *skill level* vs. grade level had me hooked. I currently homeschool my three youngest children for a multitude of reasons, but I feel as though many of those will dissolve with New Summit as their school. I’m incredibly excited and thoroughly impressed by the choices in curriculum (Core Knowledge and Singapore Math), as well at the planned teaching of cursive. I also love the emphasis on teaching character through our historical figures, and learning to love learning. The more I learn about our new school the more our decision to send our kids there solidifies.
