Kindergarten

Our most frequent questions this week seem to center on and around our Kindergarten program. We know you are looking for the perfect school and we are so excited that you are considering us!

Top Kindergarten Questions:

1. Will you have full-day Kindergarten?
Yes, we plan to have both full-day and half-day Kindergarten classes. The half-day classes will be tuition-free and the full-day classes will cost $2,500/year.

2. Will there be a payment plan available for full-day students?
Yes! There will be a payment plan available, and a scholarship program for those documented as low income.

3. What is your cut-off for Kindergarten students?
The age cut-off is 10/1/13. Kindergarteners must have been born on or before that date. We know that some students will fall after that date and not be admitted, but this cut-off is consistent with Academy District 20.

Kindergarten has been one of our more popular grade levels, so if you are interested in having a student at New Summit, be sure to enroll now. We can’t wait to meet you and your little one!

Kindergarten Round-Up

Our Kindergarten Roundup at Academy D20 is on January 17, 2018. Due to district procedures, Kindergarten enrollment cannot be completed before that date.

There are two enrollment times for January 17th, 2018.

  • 8 am – 11:30 am
  • 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Jenn Reissig (one of our board members), will also be at the D20 office all day to help you enroll and to answer any questions you may have. Please note that you will get to choose if you want your Kindergartener to have an am or pm slot or if you want to enroll them in full-day Kindergarten.

If you are not able to make it to the D20 office on this day, you can go and enroll your Kindergartener at the D20 office anytime after that day. If you haven’t received your enrollment letter in the mail, please email enrollment.newsummit@gmail.com and we can send you one via email.

When you go to the D20 office please make sure you bring the following:

  • New Summit Offer Letter
  • Child’s Vaccine Records
  • Child’s Birth Certificate
  • State License
  • Proof of Address
  • Child’s IEP (if they have one)

The D20 office is open Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4 pm and is located at 1110 Chapel Hills Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80918. Feel free to RSVP via our Facebook event page. Thank you!
